Advanced Voice (Part of the Telecom2 Ltd Group)  is a Business to Business telecommunications group, offering services across various technology sectors across telephony, mobile, payments and identity verification. 

We are currently looking for a talented Voip / Telecoms Developer to join our team, either working remotely within Spain or in our Madrid office.

What will you be doing?

Working as part of a team, you will be maintaining and expanding our VoIP platform, developing new telephony applications, etc.

Our core telephony platform is based on Asterisk and OpenSIPS, while the majority of the call logic is handled by AGI applications written in PHP. Other technologies we use across our telephony infrastructure include MySQL, Redis, and Java.

You will be working closely with the Product Engineering, Infrastructure, and Commercial teams.

As a member of our team, you will

  • Be part of an experienced team developing cutting edge products and services
  • Help further develop our flagship products
  • Maintain and expand our current VoIP infrastructure
  • Develop new VoIP telephony applications
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues

Required Skills

  • Good written and spoken English
  • At least one year of relevant experience
  • Good understanding of core VoIP concepts: Signaling, Codecs, Media streams
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Asterisk, OpenSIPS, FreeSWITCH
  • SIP Debugging skills (Tcpdump, Wireshark, Homer, VoipMonitor, etc)
  • Hands on knowledge of at least one scripting language (PHP, Bash, etc)
  • Hands on knowledge of MySQL (Constructing queries, basic DB management, MySQL replication management)
  • Linux administration skills (Services configuration, Compiling software from source, OS installation, etc)
  • Linux networking skills (Linux interface configuration, iptables Firewall configuration, etc)
  • Good analytical skills for capturing and implementing complex tasks
  • Excellent communication skills at a technical and end-user level
  • Good documentation skills

Great to have experience with

  • Unified communications / Call Centre VoIP Telephony systems
  • Experience working with CentOS or RedHad Enterprise Linux, or similar
  • Configuring Apache / Nginx Web servers
  • Familiarity with source control systems (Git, SVN)
  • Experience working with infrastructure provisioning / automation tools (such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc)
  • Prior exposure to Video API technologies and/or WebRTC solutions is a big plus

Starting salary depending on experience and current skill set.
